Welcome to my gallery! My name is Matt Payne and I am a native to Colorado with a passion for mountaineering and hiking. My interests in photography were renewed in 2008 when I re-established my passion to gain the summits of the highest 100 mountains in Colorado. My favorite type of photography is landscape photography, specifically panoramic photos. Re-creating the incredible views from the summits of mountains from a collection of photographs is something I find a great deal of pleasure in. High Dynamic Range
High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR) is the process by which bracketed photos of varying exposure values are combined into one single exposure in a process known as tone-mapping. The final result is a photo that captures a more true image of the actual scene since modern cameras are incapable of capturing the all of light details from a highly contrasted scene in a single exposure.
